Devices without AR support are not locked out. Every phase has a flat-panel path with identical content, the same experiments and the same certificate — you lose the spatial anchoring, which is genuinely the best part, but nothing else.

No. Displaying the marker on a second screen works well — a laptop or tablet showing it at roughly 80 mm across. That is how most lecture demonstrations run.

If you do print: 100%, page scaling off, matte paper. Glossy stock under ceiling lights is the single most common cause of a marker not scanning.

Because it measured the marker in the camera frame and compared it against the size registered in its library. If your print dialog had “fit to page” enabled, the marker is not 80 mm.

This matters more than it sounds: every distance the workbench reports is derived from that reference size. Measure across the corner brackets and reprint at 100%.

Almost always the motion permission. Without it the app has only the camera to work with, and the workbench slides when you change angle quickly. Enable it in system settings and reopen the phase.

A featureless surface — plain white laminate, glass — also gives the tracker nothing to hold onto. Put the marker on something with visible texture.

Because Phase 3 assumes Phase 2 landed. The face-mapping lesson only makes sense once amplitude and waveform shape are intuitive rather than definitional.

The gate is on the quiz, not on time spent — you can go straight from a phase introduction to its quiz, pass, and move on in about ninety seconds if you already know the material.

As many as you like. The question set does not change, only your best attempt is recorded, and there is no cooldown or penalty.

Every answer you gave carries its explanation, so reading those before retrying is usually enough. Students who retry score a median 22 points higher on the second attempt — the retry is the learning, not a punishment for failing.

It is an honest record of completion, not an accredited qualification, and we are careful never to describe it as one.

It carries your name, your average score across the four best attempts, the date and a unique ID anyone can check. That makes it useful in a portfolio or an application as evidence you did the work. It does not carry degree credit.

Only if you are enrolled through an institution that has the cohort dashboard enabled, and only your completion status and best scores — never individual answers or timings.

Personal use accounts are not visible to anyone. There are no leaderboards and no cohort rankings, by deliberate choice.

No frame is written to disk, and no session makes a network call. Marker detection and plane tracking run inside the device's own AR runtime; the app receives pose data, not pictures it retains.

This was decided before the first line of tracking code, because it is not a property you can retrofit convincingly.

The mesh is computed, reduced to 68 landmarks, converted to a feature vector, drawn, and discarded — all inside the same frame. Nothing is stored, nothing is transmitted, and there is no capture button.

Both are two taps from Settings. Export produces a JSON file with your progress, scores and badges. Erase clears progress, preferences and the signed-in session on the device immediately, and the server-side record within 30 days.

Analytics sharing is off by default and stays off unless you turn it on.
